Quality Inn Ledgewood - Dover

My stay was quite pleasant as I was visiting family nearby for Thanksgiving dinner. The bedding was comfortable, and I appreciated the nice breakfast selection they offered in the morning. The location was very convenient, being close to where I needed to be, even though the room itself could use some updating. It served its purpose for a short visit.

Quality Inn, Ledgewood, NJ

General information: I arrived at the Quality Inn on 8/8 at 8:50 PM because it was dark and I was tired. I had a Comfort-Quality Loyalty Card. As I walked up to the sliding door, the place smelled of excrement. I thought perhaps someone allowed their dog to do its business, but when I walked into the door, the breezeway also smelled. The desk was to the left of the breezeway and rooms were to the right. Location and surroundings: I asked the man at the desk if he had any vacancies and asked if there was a first floor room available as I wear braces and it is difficult to move my luggage. He gave me room # 104 for $99.00 per night. When I went to check out the room, the whole area smelled of cigarette smoke. My non-smoking room did not, but the rest of the hallway did. I did get my luggage into the room. Service: I went into the bathroom and found a small black bug on one of the white wash cloths. I crushed it and checked the other wash cloth, towel, etc. before getting a shower. The next morning I found 2 small bugs in the sink. Dining: This Quality Inn offered the complimentary breakfast. I did get a coffee and some yogurt. A female employee was working hard to keep items stocked and the eating area clean. She was pleasant, smiling and very welcoming. Sports and leisure: N/A Room: See "Service" above Useful tips: For a bit less than a 12 hour stay my $99.00 room blossomed into $113.85 with the appropriate local and state taxes. For this room rate I experienced unexplained and unpleasant smells, and bugs on my bath wash cloth and in my sink. My useful tip: don't stay at this Quality Inn!

great stay but a few quirks

The roll-in shower design was excellent for accessibility. I loved the local Asian restaurant nearby. The food was some of the best I've had.

The room layout felt a bit cramped at times.

Location so close to a train station and the restaurant and shopping areas. Clean room and nice bathroom with a shower, a hairdryer and bath sheets. Nice staff with smiles. A such great stay for the price...

The staff were friendly, helping me feel at home throughout my visit.

Everyone is amiable and very pleasant and owner too.

The pool area was nice, neat, and perfect for a summer splash. The hotel had a solid selection of snacks and an abundance of charging outlets. The cleanliness of my room. Plus, I appreciated the nearby stores for quick shopping trips.
